We were made to bloom!
My purpose is to coach and mentor people to develop, to be better and more at ease with themselves. The benefits of this show in all in the roles we have – as a family member, partner, friend, colleague, worker, manager/leader and member of society.
I coach and mentor on choices and behaviours, how we feel, understand and go about being ourselves in a variety of situations. How to recognise and overcome self-limiting beliefs and respond in new ways. How to develop new skills, improve performance and continue to grow and develop as a person.
My passion is to help people break free from the self-imposed ‘prisons’ we make for ourselves.
We make these ‘prisons’ because the primary purpose of the brain is survival and to protect us from everything which may bring fear, shame, failure, embarrassment or rejection. If we have a powerful experience of fear, shame, failure, embarrassment or rejection our brain will instinctively log the experience as a thing to be wary of, or to avoid. Many of these patterns of behaving were made when we were much younger, to keep us safe, to fit in and avoid negative outcomes. These ingrained ways of behaving may have served us well when younger, but now the older us may be trapped from opportunities and new experiences. An example of this could be, an adult with a fear of public speaking, learnt as a child from being ‘volunteered’ to take part in the school play when they forgot their lines on opening night.
As an experienced accredited coach with over 20 years operating as HR and Development Director and member of Senior Leadership teams, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience so that people can improve and be happier and fulfilled whether improving an existing or learning a new skills or behaviour.
